After passage of the EU AI Act, the first (and so far, only) U.S. jurisdiction to adopt comprehensive AI regulation was Colorado, which enacted in May 2024 Senate Bill 205, Consumer Protections for Artificial Intelligence. DGS lawyers advised industry groups and clients and interacted with lawmakers throughout the Colorado legislature’s consideration of this bill.
