Case Study: Oil & Gas Exploration

DGS assisted the Northern Ute Indian Tribe in the negotiation of an exploration and development agreement with two oil and gas companies.  The agreement covers approximately 125,000 acres of undeveloped minerals, and includes tribal, federal and fee minerals.  The agreement allows for exploration of both shallow and deep horizons, and allows the Northern Ute Indian Tribe to participate as a working interest owner in leases developed under the agreement.
