DGS defended one of the nation's first natural resource damages actions, State of Colorado v. Gulf+Western Industries, et al., which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.  We were first to litigate the proper use of surveys and measures of natural resource damages in pretrial motions in this case, and we worked with our clients and experts in the development of pioneering expert testimony in many NRD fields.  We successfully mediated a consent decree to resolve this landmark case prior to trial.
